Capital Project Funds (CPF)
Nebraska's Capital Projects Fund (CPF) Grant Cycle is a program that funds the deployment of broadband networks in rural areas of the state that lack access to reliable, affordable high-speed internet. The program was created in 2022 by the Economic Recovery Act (LB 1024) and is similar to the Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program. The program's goal is to provide internet service with speeds of 100/100 Mbps symmetrical to households and businesses in the 1st and 3rd districts of Nebraska. The Nebraska Broadband Bridge Program (NBBP) is a program that funds and helps develop broadband networks in areas of Nebraska that are underserved or unserved. The program was created in 2021 by the Nebraska Broadband Bridge Act (LB 388) and is administered by the Nebraska Public Service Commission.
